Conclusion

Rather than isolating individuals in private spaces, the design encourages movement, community, and connection while giving a stable living place through shared experiences. Also, it inspires other unhoused people dealing with addiction through a sense of Accomplishment and Motivation, Peer Recognition, and a Symbol of Hope.

Further Study 

  • Future research could examine long-term success rates of residents in such environments.

  • Ways to integrate employment and skill-building opportunities within recovery housing.

  • Do a deeper dive into the moving system for the shipping containers.
